  Vertical whisky distillery on Edinburgh’s Leith harbour waterfront at 11 Whisky Quay, next to the Royal Yacht Britannia. It describes itself as the world’s tallest distillery, with milling and mashing at the top leading down to distillation. The building opened to the public in October 2023; production began in January 2024.

  Urban Edinburgh distillery established in 2019 in the Southside near Holyrood Park, a short walk from the Royal Mile. It takes an experimental, flavour-first approach using heritage and speciality malts and diverse yeasts before cask maturation. It produces the city’s only single malt whisky alongside gin and other spirits, with public tours and tastings.
