Orkney single malt distillery overlooking Scapa Flow; one of the last remaining manually operated distilleries, manned 24 hours a day. Mash water comes from the Orquil Springs; malt is not peated. Distillation uses a unique Lomond still and long fermentation; spirit is matured in ex-American oak casks in Orkney. Owned by Pernod Ricard / Chivas Brothers since 2005.
