Small Highland single malt distillery in Crathie, Aberdeenshire, about one mile from Balmoral Castle in Royal Deeside. Founded in 1845 by John Begg; it gained its “Royal” title after a visit from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848. Guided tours and tastings are available; advance booking is recommended.
