Bunnahabhain Distillery

Islay distillery operating since 1881 on the north-east coast, accessible only by boat until the 1960s and now by a single-track road. Its signature style is unpeated single malt (unlike most Islay neighbours), with peated editions also released; spirit is non-chill-filtered and bottled with no added colour. The distillery states its pot stills are the tallest on Islay. A visitor centre offers tastings and warehouse experiences overlooking the Sound of Islay.
