Woodford Reserve Distillery
Versailles, United States
Brown-Forman’s Woodford Reserve Distillery on McCracken Pike in Woodford County, Kentucky. The brand presents the site as Kentucky’s oldest distilling grounds, where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812 and where James Crow later advanced sour-mash practice. Official materials highlight copper pot stills with triple distillation, cypress fermenters, a gravity-fed barrel run and heat-cycled barrelhouses. A National Historic Landmark setting with limestone-filtered water and Bluegrass farmland surrounds the campus. Gift shop, cocktail bar, and reserved tours and tastings are offered year-round (seasonal schedule may narrow in January–February).
