The brand presents the site as Kentucky’s oldest distilling grounds, where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812 and where James Crow later advanced sour-mash practice. Official materials highlight copper pot stills with triple distillation, cypress fermenters, a gravity-fed barrel run and heat-cycled barrelhouses. A National Historic Landmark setting with limestone-filtered water and Bluegrass farmland surrounds the campus.
