Texas Hill Country bourbon distillery at 1827 Hye-Albert Road, Hye, Texas. Garrison Brothers states it is the first and oldest legal whiskey distillery in Texas and the first outside Kentucky to produce corn-to-cork bourbon from Texas-grown grain, distilled and aged on the ranch, proofed with rainwater and bottled by hand. Founded by Dan and Nancy Garrison in 2006; doors opened to the public in 2008; first bourbon entered the market in 2010. Tours, tastings, volunteer bottling and the Whiskey Shack sit on working ranch land. Hours: Tuesday–Thursday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Friday–Saturday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; closed Sunday–Monday and listed holidays.
