Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation’s Nantou Distillery (winery/distillery) in Nantou City—home of OMAR single malt. Official OMAR materials note Taiwan’s warm climate and about 6–7% annual angel’s share, Scottish-style minimum three years in cask, English two-row barley, German mash tun, four pot stills, and finishes including local fruit-wine barrels (e.g. lychee, plum). OMAR is non-chill-filtered. Visitor facilities include ponds, cask warehouses, tasting room (NT$100 per glass) and shop. Open 08:30–17:00 every day except Chinese New Year’s Eve.
