Isle of Arran Distillers’ distillery at the north end of Arran. Building began 16 December 1994; first spirit ran on 29 June 1995; official opening 17 August 1995. It restored legal whisky-making on Arran after more than 150 years. The Queen opened the visitor centre in 1997; Lagg is its sister distillery in the south.
