Fettercairn Distillery
Fettercairn, Scotland
Distillery in the foothills of the Cairngorms opened in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay, among the first to take a licence after the 1823 Excise Act. Its signature feature is a unique copper cooling ring that douses the stills so only the lightest vapours rise, creating a distinctive tropical house style. The brand also runs visitor experiences.
