Independent family distillery in Lannion, Côtes-d’Armor, Brittany—producer of Armorik, France’s pioneering Breton single malt. Founded by Léon Warenghem in 1900 for plant liqueurs (Elixir d’Armorique); whisky distillation began under Gilles Leizour in 1983, WB blend launched 1987, a whisky-dedicated stillhouse with Scottish-style copper stills built in 1993, and Armorik single malt launched 1998. Official history notes Best European Whisky recognition for Armorik Double Maturation at the World Whiskies Awards 2013 and Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) status in 2019.
